Safety barrier - TS-100™
It has a criteria of 4-wire capacity, lightning safety transmission and power circuits, with functionally repeating TS-100 protectors which shield four-wire circuits serving computer or other delicate electrical instruments, that could be damaged by lightning or inductive transients. It offers dedicated protection of communication circuits (1 to 4) for both normal and common mode spikes, with a solid 9 x 4.5" circuit board which utilizes intense input and output terminals and massive ground intercepts for suppression of stray arcs. On the input side of the device, the first line of defense against unpredictable high voltage transients on the line is the 300 amp, 1 ms, bi-directional gas discharge tube, in series with power resistors and 600V fuses. These high frequency ferrite snubbers help restrain high frequency transients.
The protected side has bi-directional 1500 watt power zeners, restricting output to about 10% above the transmission voltage levels often carried by the protected lines, where protection is line-to-line and line-to-ground.
