Power capacitor / oil-free - DryHED
DC dry-type capacitors are completely oil free, and therefore minimize the need for extra spillage collectors or sewer installation. No flammable fluids are present, therefore the system is fire-proof. Transport is safe, as there are no chemicals or impregnation fluids. The ABB capacitors are smaller, but have twice the capacity of earlier models, making them an excellent choice for cost-effective power processes. In voltage source converter-based applications, where more stored energy is needed, these capacitors provide high capacity while occupying less space, therefore being size and cost effective.
