High-voltage fuse - ETI HV

The ETI HV VV THERMO are high voltage high breaking capacity VV fuse links. The ETI HV fuse links are manufactured for the safety of units in switch gears and other machinery ( distribution transformers, capacitors and motors) from thermal and dynamic outcomes of short circuits and over flow currents.

The ETI HV fuse links time - current features conform to the norms of IEC IEC 60282-1. The unit also has an additional back up fuse. The ETI HV fuse links are used in interior and exterior switchgears, gas (SF6) insulated units and in unique service norms.

The ETI HV fuse links have some path breaking advantages such as:

1. A high breaking capability of 50 kA
2. Low switching voltages and low temperature rise due to low power self - endurance.
3. Dependable sealing system to protect from humidity invasion.
4. 3 types striker pin forces - 80 N, 120 N and 50 N.

Medium-voltage fuse - ETI VV

The ETI VV is a medium voltage fuse that observes various standards and specifications. It has a current limiting fuse by IEC 60282-1, Sixth edition 11/2005. Moreover, the device uses IEC 60644 and IEC 60549. It is the application guide for the selection of high voltage current limiting fuse links for the transformer circuits. It also shows the specification for high-voltage fuse links for motor circuit applications.

Medium-voltage fuse - 10 - 100 A, 2 750 - 15 500 V | E-Rated series

The E-Rated fuses in this series have time current characteristics, being designed for providing current limiting protection for power transformers, power centers, potential transformers, feeder centers and unit sub-stations. When applied properly, these products can protect against low and high fault currents. Note that these products are compatible with the NEMA standards for E-rated medium voltage fuses, which requires that fuses rated 100E or less are open within 300 seconds.

The fuses with an E-rating more than 100E must also open within 600 seconds, especially when subjected to a current of type rms, of 200-240% of the continuous current rating of the fuse. The values establish one point on the time-current curve, while the live parts are available for mounting "PT", "R" and "E" triple, double and single barrel fuses. The mounting clips are available for ferrule type and clip lock style fuses.

Medium-voltage fuse - 100 - 650 A, 2 750 - 8 250 V | R-Rated series

These R-rated fuses are intelligently engineered to provide high degree of protection from power-supply malfunctions like short circuits, over-voltage, to motors, motor controllers and related devices. These units are not recommended for use in high voltage/large short circuit currents. They work extremely well with medium voltage circuits.

Motor controllers are equipped with overload relays that aid in preventing damage from overloads. They also provide motors with a locked rotor system of protection. These controllers manage low levels of short circuits thereby saving medium voltage fuses from continuous stress of low over-currents that are below their minimum limits of interrupting values.

According to NEMA guidelines, R rated fuses of medium voltage must have response times of 15-35 seconds in the event of exposure to an rms current that is hundred times their R rating value. To understand this equation, consider a fuse whose rating is 2R. It will respond in 15-35 seconds to a 2 x 100 = 200 amperes applied current, as per NEMA.

Medium-voltage fuse - 0.5 - 10 A, 600 - 25 800 V

The Potential Transformer (PT) fuses are specifically manufactured for safety of potential transformers. They are characterized with high interrupting ratings for current limitation. These are also integrated with current inrush that can be suited with their time-current curve. In addition, the current inrush is made available from the producers of transformers.

Medium-voltage fuse

High voltage fuse links (HV fuse links) are utilized to protect high voltage consumers, such as transformers, motors, capacitors, lines and switching devices, against thermal and dynamic effects. These effects are caused by the current exceeding the permitted value regarding duration and amplitude.

The medium voltage fuses have been manufactured with dimensions which comply with DIN 43625 and are suitable for mounting on fuse-bases in compliance with DIN 43624 and on on-load switches. In compliance with IEC 282-1 and CEI 32-3 standards for high rupting capacity fuses, they are mainly utilized for short circuit protection in medium voltage installations. They are equipped with a striker pin, a further indicator of blow-out, which acts as a device for tripping the load-switch which is the associated circuit breaker.
