The FG 180 series from Dresser-Rand, is a Guascor engine that is equipped with 6 lined cylinders and two inspection doors on the sides. It is designed with bimetallic bearings made for the suspended crankshaft and connecting rods that are split in a diagonal orientation. The three-ring pistons are manufactured with aluminum alloy. It is available with either a pneumatically-powered or electrically-powered starter.
