Supercapacitor
In 2008, Murata began on focusing its R&D efforts on electrical double layer capacitators (edlc) in order to meet consumer demand for greater efficiency and functionality in mobile devices. During this time, a decision was made to permit supercapacitator technology from leading edge firms such as CAP-XX CAP-XX, a fir, based in Australlia. Murants has developed improves design by working from this collaborative basis and the manufacturing of these high power (low ESR) EDLCs in a smaller and slimmer package. Research efforts continue in order to develop products that perform at an even higher standard.
