Ultrasound proximity sensor - ø = 18 mm | lpc

The LPC series is manufactured by Microsonic, and is an ultrasonic sensor that has an extremely narrow beam spread with a working range of 250 mm and a maximum range of 350 mm. The blind zone amounts to a mere 30 mm.

The unit showcases its analog output and 1 pnp switching output in M18 design. It has an automatic synchronization suitable for operation up to ten sensors in close quarters. The unit has analog output of 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V, and consists with microsonic Teach-in on pin 5. It has also has voltage rating of 10 to 30 V.

Ultrasound proximity sensor / compact - ø = 12 mm, 55 mm | nano

The nano ultrasonic sensor is a M12-threaded sleeve with a miniature housing that measures 55 mm. long (60 mm for the analogue sensor) including plug making it the shortest M12 ultrasonic sensor device available. It has a 1 pnp- or npn-switching output and an analogue output of 4–20 mA or 0–10. The device can determine 2 ranges that measures 250 mm, 350 mm that are available with an analog or switching output. It also has a micro sonic Teach-in on Pin 2. It can serve as a good replacement to inductive and capacitive sensors which is caused by a short blind zone of 20 mm only. It can work by requiring a great sensing/switching distance with high capability to reproduce.

Ultrasound proximity sensor - UMT 30-1300

Ultrasonic sensors may be a useful alternative when optical sensors come up against their physical limits. This applies, for example, for objects with uneven surfaces or under difficult ambient conditions, or with highly transparent media as well as moving, highly reflective liquid surfaces. Typical uses of ultrasonic sensors are therefore checking the presence of highly transparent foils and measuring the filling levels in liquid containers. A major advantage of ultrasonic sensors is the absolutely reliable background suppression resulting from their sound time-of-flight measurement principle.
