Safety light barrier / single-beam
The Pepperl+Fuchs/ Visolux line includes specially certified and approved light barriers which are ideal for fire protection gates. It is used in gates and shutters as well.The German fire protection regulations needs proper monitoring along with appropriate safety systems. It beocmes a huge technical challenge to reliably detect people in smoke filled areas, despite the influence of any smoke build-up. This requirement can be met using the fire protection light barriers by Pepperl+Fuchs/ Visolux.
There are two different principles of operation which include single path fire light barrier and fire protection reflection light barrier with polarization filters.
