These type 4 safety light curtains by Telemecanique Sensors pack in XUSLB multi beam for 14 mm finger and 30 mm hand detection with the body dimensions measuring 38 x 50 mm. The detection distances for fingers varies from 0.3 m to 7 m while it ranges from 0.3 m to 20 m for hands. The heights protected range from 280 to 1360 mm for fingers while for the hands they range from 280 to 2120 mm. The specific application of these safety light curtains are for hand protection. With a low response time of 32 ms, 30 mm of minimum object diameter for detection and 82 beams, performance won't be an issue while the aluminum casing coupled with 20% fiber glass impregnated nylon on the end caps will take care of the durability.
