The HEIDENHAIN ERN, ECN and EQN rotary encoders have a specific bearing and sealed. They are designed to be durable and compact. To balance axial motion and misalignment connecting the encoder shaft and measured shaft, the encoders are linked to the rotor by the measure shaft through separate coupling. The holow shaft is run through the shaft to be measured and fastened. The applications of these encoders is an array from measuring tasks to position and speed control on servo drives.
