HEIDENHAIN's rotary encoders, specifically their ECN, EQN, and ERN models (all complete with stator couplings and integral bearings) provide elementary mounting capacities, as well as miniaturized dimensions. These rotary encoder models are capable of a variety of tasks; they do anything from speed and positioning command, to the most basic measurement functions. The ROC, ROD, and ROQ models are compact, heavy-duty, and contain individual locked bearings. They vary from their ECN, EQN, and ERN models, as the latter series are designed for simple mounting, while the former require independent coupling to the shaft. This separated coupling compensates for misalignment and axial motion between the regular shaft and the encoder shaft.
