The CPF sensor roller provides a highly accurate detection of web tension. This is possible as the reading is unaffected by the weight of the roller or the material position on the roller. It is easy to fix the roller from a single side in minimal time. Installation of the connector should be either inside or outside the machine.
The sensor roller CPF comprises of a central shaft and two sensors. The shaft ensures the cells remain stable. The sensors, using ball bearings, support the central shaft and the roller on each side.
The sensors and strain gauges work in a "wheatstone full bridge"configuration. Once the load is applied, a mechanical shifting of the roller takes place. It modifies the strain gauges on the load cell body.
