The AKS 38 is an electro-mechanical float switch manufactured by Danfoss. Through its uncomplicated and standard design, it has the ability to perform reliably at a long service life. It can be used for a variety of detection applications including the liquid over-feed accumulators, the flooded surge drums, the flooded shell and tube chiller, the high and low pressure receivers, an the intercoolers. Additionally it can function as a low or high level safety switch that provides the protection of circulating pumps/compressors.
