Partial discharge differential sensor - XDP-013
The XDP-013 is a differential sensor built with a double spatula. This unit enables the minimization and control of ambient noise, when measuring partial discharge on MV/HV cable joints and elbows. It can eliminate the ambient noise by a factor of 3 to 5 to enable the detection of a problem, even in a noisy environment.It was specifically manufactured for detecting partial discharge on insulated cable joints in XLPE/EPR type. This can be used with XDP, an online Partial Discharge Detection System for underground cable accessories, and equipment for safety or maintenance purposes.
Its spatulas are attached to every side of the joints, which are the toughest areas in which to locate partial discharge activities. In addition, the sensor can offer the level of noise, in dB, on both sides of the joint individually.
