Olympus' Terra Mobile XRD System model of XRF Analyzers and XRD Analyzers is a comprehensively contained, fully battery-functional, closed-beam portable XRD device, which provides full facet identification of components (however minor, major, or even just trace) by means of a fast and simple XRF scan of the elements Ca-U. Originally designed to become a device for measuring mineralogical and chemical data for the Mars Science Laboratory (or just MSL) mission spearheaded by NASA, the Olympus Terra's double XRD/XRF functioning technology is capable of adjusting to still earthbound situations. Its minimalist design (such as its simplistic specimen chamber, and its specimen prep technology) provides quick in-field evaluations, while its more advanced features, such as its direct excitation charge coupled device (or simply CCD) camera, for X-ray fluorescence and diffraction applications, justify its NASA-conceived overall construction.
The Olympus Terra may be used in varying applications like mining, pharmaceutical, petro-chemical, and more.
