Combining the four metal half-cells with the six combined ORP electrodes will give users the capability to cover a full spectrum of applications. The redox electrode has a measuring signal that is generated on the precious metal's surface through an exchange of electrons using the oxidation-reduction system provided by its measuring medium. The majority of the applications are covered by platinum electrodes, while in highly oxidizing samples, gold electrodes can be best used. Meanwhile, silver electrodes are usually used in the field of silver-based electro-chemistry, as with chloride determination.
