The thermal conductivity detector from Gow-Mac is a detector commonly used for gas chromotography. It has a simple and rugged construction that provides versatility, sensitivity and a relatively linear over a wide range. It keeps the sample safe, and is inexpensive. This device is comprised of a block that contains a cavity where in the gas flows. Its heated element is located in the flow path of the gas. This detector provides a precise matching of filaments and thermistors over an extended current-resistance curve and under controlled heat dissipation conditions to assure a proper detector performance. It also runs a rigid and thorough gas and electrical leakage test on specified zero gas. The sensitivity of the detectors depends on the thermal conduction between the background gas and the sample.
