The SMS 100 is a dedicated mercury analyzer. In order to carry out the sensitive measurement of mercury in solid samples, it employs gold amalgamation, thermal decomposition and cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry. This eliminates the need for elaborate sample preparation. The SMS 100 needs an autosampler with a 42-sample capacity (included), standards, a PC (available separately) or check samples. Accessories for calibration, setup and verification of system performance are also included.
The SMS 100 includes comprehensive mercury analysis software which is based on Microsoft Windows XP. This provides a unique graphical display of mercury signals which simplifies the optimization of method parameters. Measurements can be allowed over a vast concentration range due to the inclusion of a wide range extended calibration. Efficient workflow is achieved via built-in user features such as method setup and sample analysis.
