Extender KVM - Avocent® LongView™1000
The Avocent LongView 1000 extenders allow you to setup computer components as far as 1,000 feet away from the desktop computer or Avocent KVM switch. They are point-point KVM serial device extenders.This extended distance enables you to give your users mobility. With devices controlled and combined from a principal location, usual difficulties are addressed like the protection of computers from dangerous work surroundings and their protection from unintentional harm or loss.
Both its transmitter and receiver are constructed with an adjoining UTP cable and can readily attach to PS/2 or USB computers. Signal degradation and video skew over UTP cable are compensated by a unique auto-tuning feature. The simple receiver and transmitter design allows for easy installation and deployment.
