Heating controller aircraft - 28 V, 5 - 20 A | WDIC
Supply voltage for heating elements of the windshield and side window are regulated by the WDIC while also measuring their temperatures. External power contractors power these elements. There are two separate channels for the WDIC, for the side window and primary windshield respectively. They comprise of an in-built test used to monitor the performance of internal modules, relays and external sensors. Status information and error messages to the cockpit are delivered to the aircraft's Centralized Maintenance System via the ARINC 429 interface or other discrete interfaces.
