This ground jobber drill from Hoffman is engineered with great concentricity and pitch accuracy ground point. It produces a smooth finish and is perfect for production drilling. This unit has a standard helix angle with good core thickness and taper. The sizes range from 16 - 20 mm with shank at 16 mm. It is suitable for use common structural steels up to 500 N/mm2 at 40 m/min. It is suitable for applications that are in need of dealing with drill cuts at 30 m/min in unalloyed and temprered steels with 750 N/mm2, unalloyed case-hardening steels up and nitriding steels, cutting speeds at 25 m/min cutting speed in unalloyed quenced and tempered steels, and tool steels up to 900 N/mm2.
