The Shim provides an accurate spacing, or utilized in filling of spaces in mismatched components. It is suitable for use in different industrial applications, as well as in assembly operations. The shim is designed with different sizes, and from various materials. It is offered in a 12 x 12 size, and thickness of 0.005 in. up to 0.134 in. These features enable the device to be fit in many applications. In addition, the unit is offered in three major types namely: custom shims, metal shims, and plastic shims.
