Peel-away shim
Laminated shims have different layers of metal which can be removed until the right thickness of the shim is achieved. They are built up with layers after layers of precise gauge metal foil. The removable shim layers are pasted together to form a strong structure that function and appear as a single plate or sheet. To adjust the thickness, all users have to do is peel off some of layers.
