Oil-sealed seal
Also known as grease, dirt or fluid seals, these oil seals are able to close spaces that exist between moving and stationary components. They prevent lubricant from escaping the machines as well as preventing contamination, even in the harshest environments. Oil seals are an essential component in both vehicles and machinery. They are also useful in close-fitting balls, precision-constructed rollers and sleeve bearings. Lubricants will no longer escape the precision bearings or specific areas on them due to the presence of these oil seals. Abrasives, corrosive materials and other contaminates are prevented from entering machinery where oil seals are used. Lubricants and oil, for example, are two of the different mediums that are prevented from mixing using these particular devices.
