Cassette seal - CASCO™
Simrit CASCO™ is a smart sealing concept providing high durability, reduced CO2 emission, improved protection, and a superior price-performance ratio. CASCO™ sealing elements are incorporated in a cartridge or a cassette along with their contact faces. While in working position, excellent sealing effect is assured by the cassette. This is applicable even in most challenging conditions such as radial imbalance, dynamic axial play and lubricant ageing. This ensures excellent tightness by the crankshaft seal toward escaping lubricants and any entry of dirt. Unlike several other seals in the market, the main lip also provides resistance to axial load.
With this mechanism, CASCO™ provides a 60% lower performance loss against other construction concepts. It ensures a very low degree of friction, including at up to 23 m/s surface speeds, thereby reducing wear. This way, the seal can last for more than 1,600,000 km.
