Gas-lubricated mechanical seal / for turbo-compressor - 28AT series
The 28AT dry gas seal is a standard choice that has been used in gas-handling turbo-machinery applications for more than 40 years. John Crane makes many of these gas seals with the spiral groove pattern to prevent them from contacting other parts while in operation. The mating ring and seat, and the primary ring/face bodies will keep a sealing gap of about 0.0002 inches per five microns, thus preventing parts from wearing out. The seals will keep seal oil contamination from being a threat and also keep maintenance costs and downtime from being a problem. Double, single and tandem seals may be ordered as required.
