A proprietary equiaxed thermal barrier coating system and alloy provide enhanced oxidation life. The life is improved when the shroud tip features 3D contouring with the cutter tooth removed and abradable coating is added on. This allows for the lifespan to meet 72,000 hours. Peak temperature is decreased and cooling distribution improved when extra trailing-edge cooling holes reduce trailing-edge creep without total internal cooling flow being altered.
