During the 1950's, the expander turbine was the leading in its industry.The Elliott power recovery expander turbine was innovated into a high temperature but with a low temperature flue gas energy into usable power. This expander turbine is usually used to drive compressors or generators in refinery fluid catalytic-cracking (FCC) service. The recovery power that these expander turbines are capable of is reaching up to the approach of 50,000 hp or 37,300 kW.
