Pressurized Synchronous DOL motors from ABB are low voltage motors with a varying number of poles from 4 to 40. The motor is enclosed in a robust and sturdy welded-steel enclosure that provides an optimum degree of protection as per the classes IP 23 or IP W24 or IP 44 or IP 54 or IP 55.The IEC version delivers an output power of 1 to 60MW, while the NEMA version delivers 1,000 to 80,000HP output power. These motors are ideal for use in explosive environments in zone 1 or zone 2. The motor can be mounted vertically or horizontally. It is ATEX, IEC and NEC certified.
