A strain gauge torque transducer is built-in to these air nut-runner motors, which also come with air shut-off torque control. Not only can the motors control whether or not the clutch is shut-off correctly, they can read the amount of torque being applied by the tool on the joint. With the ability to memorize the data and identify errors, the tightening cycle can be processed. Errors that can be identified include incorrectly tightened or loose screws. The applied torque is converted by the static-type strain gauge torque transducer into an electrical signal that is processed by the TOCS TC computerized unit. No problems will pass unnoticed.
