Picomotor Piezo Linear Actuators are ideal in motorizing fine-positioning mounts and stages in either mechanical or optimal systems. These are used with NEWPORT optomechanical translation stages, but are also suitable with other custom devices. These linear actuators are capable of producing 5-lb (22-N) force with marginal backlash, and have resolutions of 30-nm or greater. These products are designed to maintain positions with no power applied.
