Special gearmotors with integrated coupling are used to operate overhead trolley systems. SEW-EURODRIVE offers a range of drives for overhead trolley systems. The drives are divided into two groups. The light load range drives are for overhead trolley systems according to VDI 3643 guideline (C1 standard) and heavy load range drives are for heavy duty overhead trolley systems. The drives are specially designed for transport power, transport speed and working load.

The high permitted overhung loads offer highest working loads. They also offer reproducible stopping accuracy, energy-efficient, and fully capable of operating with an inverter. The drives can be combined with many SEW-EURODRIVE modular unit options. The light-load drives are quiet and comply with C1 guideline standards (VDI guideline 3643). They operate with a reliable disengageable coupling and offer several benefits. Superior availability and productivity is assured with low maintenance.
