Gas engines of the series E2842 are compact devices with an output ranging from 37-550kW (natural gas) and are used to supply power for co-generation plants. A 12-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and lambda 1 engine coupled with a three-way catalytic converter result in low emission stages. A highly efficient injection and combustion system ensures optimum engine performance at low consumption.The robust engine design with compact dimensions allows for worldwide approved operation. This robust and dependable diesel drive delivers high performance in various conditions. It offers an output range of 8-550kW with special gases such as biogas, sewage gas, and landfill gas. Efficiency of 90% has been achieved through optimum combustion process.
