Controller BGE 42/BGE3004 has a speed control pulse with modulation (PWM). For setting the speed, there is an integral potentiometer. To provide both start/stop and clockwise/counter-clock-wise functions, two connection leads are used. The BGE 42 is supplied with a 5th connection lead as an option and can be used to provide external target voltage to set the speed. The speed of the rotation can be set in a range of 500 RPM to 5000 RPM, by supplying the target voltage in a range of 0...+10 V. Where less smooth rotation is tolerated, lower speeds that are down to ca. 200 RPM are possible. To ensure high operational reliability, it is provided with various protection functions such as - low-voltage cutoff, reverse-polarity protection, over-temperature cutoff, and stall protection. As the motor needs a continuous current of 7.1A, the Electronic Controller BGE 3004 is unsuitable for the BG42 x 30 motor. However, the controller is capable of delivering only 4A current.
