Worm gear reducer / right-angle / for heavy-duty applications - max. 500 000 Nm | WGS
These quarter-turn operators are made by WGS in order to be used in heavy-duty sub-sea applications. They are suitable for any depth. Due to the difficult environments for which they were created, materials used in their construction were carefully chosen for high reliability. Membrane or piston-type pressure compensators are included in these device to balance the pressure so that they can work at any depth. An included worm shaft is supported by taper roller bearings. This mechanism comes with a high-strength alloy steel worm screw that is hardened and grounded. A vertical or horizontal carbon steel ROV input (class 1 to 7) is also included.
