The Model 4748 is a compact worm gear by Ketterer. The input is located on the small side of the gear. The gears are especially useful for manual operations.

It is equipped with a ratio of 1:1, 2:1, 2.8:1, 4.33:1, 10:1, 14:1 and 15:1. The gear comes in a particular model with bronze bearing.

The body of the unit is built from die-cast zinc.
