The Safety Catcher is manufactured by Sitema, and is a KSP-type safety break that is pneumatically released. The unit has been specifically developed to hold a vertically moved mass at one direction against gravitational forces. The holding function is executed by a circular shaft. It can also be utilized to catch a falling load when an emergency-stop occurs. It has a holding force capacity of up to 40 kN.
