Disc brake / spring / pneumatic release control - 0.6 - 2.6 kN | MU series
The MU series is manufactured by Twiflex. This disc brake has a force range from 0.6 kN to 2.6 kN. Features of the MU includes spring actuation and pneumatic releasing.Being the smallest in the Twiflex range, its is primarily designed for light stopping and holding duties. Its design allows left or right-handed assembly. The Mu is suitable for use with a disc thickness of 8 mm, but can also accomodate discs with 12.7 mm thickness with a revised thruster mounting arrangemen.
The standard disc diameter is 150 mm. For use in pneumatic operation, operator may use dry, filtered and non-lubricated compressed air. Pneumatic brakes require a control valve, that is operated either manually or by pneumatic or electrical signal.
