Electric linear axis / ball screw / compact / high-performance - ELS

Electric linear axis / ball screw / compact / high-performance - ELS
SCHUNK Unlike conventional spindle axis, the ELS axis disposes of a stationary motor. Only the slides move and are driven out telescopically. Therefore the space requirement of the axis is minimal and the moving mass is reduced, meaning that smaller and therefore more economical drives can be used. The standard module is driven by a Bosch-Rexroth MSM motor.

Perfectly integrated in the modular system
To round off the program of modular high-performance assembly, SCHUNK is putting a compact, energy-efficient cantilever axis with spindle drive and profile rail linear guides onto the market. Unlike conventional spindle axes, the ELS axis disposes of a stationary motor. Just the slides are moving, and are driven out telescopically. Therefore the space requirement of the axis is very low, the moving mass is reduced, and smaller and therefore more economical drives can be used.

Freely combineable
As a part of the modular system for modular high-performance assembly from SCHUNK, they can be combined with various pneumatically or electrically driven modules. Since they are fastened via threads and center bores, the axes can be quickly and easily assembled and adjusted. The ELS is ideally suitable for applications, where the module should leave the working area again, or as a Z-axis for short strokes.
