The tubular or cylindrical solenoids are an ideal solution for opeartions that demand a compact size device with performance that matches or even exceeds the larger open frame (C and D frame) solenoid designs for a given size. Moreover, these tubular solenoids are more magnetically efficient due to the presence of coils that are enclosed within highly-permeable steel tubular case, in order to minimize magnetic flux leakage and maximize performance.
