The R 300 is a Turn-Mill Center for turning and milling in a new dimension. It can perform simultaneous milling operations on both the counter and main spindle. It has a five-axis-interpolation for both milling spindles and has separate subsystems for lower and upper motorized milling spindles. This allows for full parallel machining or reverse side machining.
The tool strips have a total of 12 stationary tools permanently installed in the working area. It offers rapid traverse rates and high accelerations, and has a large tool magazine used for 70/140 tools. It also has short chip-to-chip times and is clearly structured with an easy work area.
