Roller mill spindle / toothed - max. 23.06 kNm, max. 256 rpm | Jaure®
Emerson Power Transmission Whilst being one of the most difficult to design and evaluate, a gear coupling is one of the most common and simplest types in use. The design difficulties are due to the number of variables, such as material, lubrication and tooth design which affect its successful operation. The more common application for gear spindles is non-ferrous and ferrous rolling mills drive. This is because technology is innovating constantly in order to achieve a higher product quality with lower maintenance costs.

New developments are required for the revamping of old mills or for modern rolling mills, such as better metallurgical practices, new machine design concepts, and the application of process control and automation. As a consequence, mechanical components including gear spindles are becoming an essential part of the drive train. Jaure has designed the gear spindles to meet these demands of efficient operation, high performance and minimum maintenance.
