Type 549 3 jaw power chuck is based on approved KFD-HS. The steel designed chucks offers a distinguished feature of all moving parts permanently lubricated in an oil bath. This makes the KFD-HS oil is almost free of maintenance. The oil level inside the chuck is continuously monitored by an integrated control unit. The series is specially sealed from coolant and filth. The piston force is directly transmitted to the jaws in the area of the jaw guides. This transmits the axial actuating force to the jaws without major friction losses.
