Schuler Crossbar Feeder has been specifically designed to make mechanical press lines more cost efficient. The use of crossbar feeder automation in a press line enables direct transportation of panels from one press to another without any stations in between. It also allows repositioning of components before they are placed into the die.

Crossbar feeder significantly increases the production rate, as high as 15 strokes per minute, as opposed to mechanical press lines with robot or feeder automation. The crossbar feeder can also be used in mechanical with high speeds to load the introductory station press and in the last station for unloading the finished parts.

The crossbar feeder provides seven degrees of motion freedom. The distances between presses are shorter. For each transfer from one press to another, it requires only a single gripper tool. The changing over of dies and tooling can be done quickly.
