To meet very special needs, MIDA have developed a new planer Rekor-6 TF. Constant research and a need to use new technologies have spurred MIDA to develop this machine so that they can meet specific requests of customers. The machine has a 4-sided planer that would respect the natural shape of wood, dressing all four sides after coming out from the log carrier. This was not an easy concept. It was necessary to make a machine capable of having vertical floating spindles that could float in tandem - independently - one side at a time yet respecting the wood's natural profile. Each vertical spindle can float around 350 mm, a big achievement.
