The New LCS “Combi” comes with a machine system designed to provide a great finish for hardened gears. It stands out for its versatile and superior performance. It performs several processes for a single machine, including using electron-plated or dressable CBN tools for generating and profile grinding. Grinding has a profound effect on the tooth surface and using discs or dressable worms has long been accepted as a great technique. However, the CBN procedure takes grinding to an entirely different level, with its highly reliable and constant production results throughout the tool life. This proves advantageous in areas of mass production with operations of almost 200 production hours. These superior techniques are implemented by the new LCS range with no restrictions whatsoever, resulting in excellent new options for the users. The CBN profile grinding is available for internal gears. The small grinding discs used are very small, based on the technology.
