The M8 cutting machine for hydraulic hose is manufactured by Clavel. It has a maximum cutting diameter of 120 mm. The M8 is a floor-mounted version, and is operated by means of manual control with a single lever to bend and cut hoses. The unit is driven by a 6 kW, 400 V TRI, 50 Hz 3-phase high torque electric motor. The machine also has an automatic star-delta starting and circuit breaker protection.
