The DIAMANT from WINDMOLLER & HOLSCHER is a FFS packaging system custom made to fit continuous, high-speed applications. The operational life is optimized, even in harsh conditions, due to the rotary operating principle of the bag filling section. Reliable short cycle fitting is also made possible by the strength of the DIAMANT due to its bottom seam cooling straight after sealing.

Through minimization of the excess top and bottom seal lengths, the cost efficiency of the machine and the equally distributed usage of the film tube is ensured.

The DIAMANT may be used in bulk-goods-packaging applications such as plastic resin and fertilizer packaging.

For the past ten years, F. Hoffman-La Roche AG has been having the vision of packaging of patients' kits for advancements in clinical studies with the help of an automated procedure. This is now fulfilled, says the company's head of clinical packaging, Christoph Mettler. This TLM compact machine is the first of an innovative filling line specially designed for the separating and filling of bottles and tubes, labeling them and then closing them. The TLM doesn't stop there, but also erects the packaging boxes, fills them, closes them and stacks them onto pallets for an easy and efficient start-to-finish process.

The TLM compact machine includes a total of nine sub-machines all interlinked into one machine system with a series of ten transmodules. The transmodules handle the transportation of the tubes, bottles and boxes as they move through the machine via two sections of rail which overlap at the filling station section. The Schubert TLM picker line is designed in such a way that slices of bread or goods are picked up from the belt and guarantees that no packages are empty. Transferring 240 slices of bread per minute from a cooling tunnel placed in a way wherein two slices of bread are put on top of each other making sure that the upper slice is always the smallest of the two. The Schubert TLM picker line operates in an average speed of 305 mm per second, offers a high degree of efficiency, and enables the production in full coordination and precision.
