The Challenge A leading CD manufacturing company wanted a labeling system which could print-and-apply bar - coded labels to the unhinged edge of CD jewel cases. This company also needed a bar - code scanner to check the barcodes as well as an ejection system to reroute any wrong bar - codes or no bar - codes. All of this was needed at a fast speed with high reliability. The Solution Label-Aire modified its new Inline Series 6000 open-frame labeling system for print-and apply labeling. The bar - code labels are now put on by the latest 3138-N printer applicator. Because of the combination of the Label-Aire's proven inline conveyor technology and the advanced 3138-N, a fast as well reliable labeling system has been made which the customer wanted for himself.
