Repetitive and precise motions are needed for systems which are used in automation and processing lines. The carriage motion is irreversible in the intermediate, dwell and limit switch position due to the shape of the cam. This enhances its safety in use. The type EMC column elevators are available in four sizes which correspond with the cam diameter: 120, 160, 200 and 300. Two carriages (type A and B) with varying lengths and carrying capacities can be applied to each size.
They have an electro welded steel structure with a steel carriage. The alloy steel cam has a hardened induction track. It includes hardened guides with rollers or recirculating balls and protective bellows. For cam connection, the orthogonal reduction gear has a torsionally rigid joint.
