Automatic sampler / for conveyor belts - PCB
The Cross Belt Sampler is able to get a typical sample of granular material straight from any type of moving trough belt conveyor. The unit uses a sweeping movement in one direction to sweep material off the belt and into a fixed collection chute at the side. The Cross Belt Sampler consists of a sample cutter which is attached to a drive shaft carried in bearings. These are mounted onto a channel section baseframe. It is situated just above the trough belt conveyor. Typically the baseframe will be fixed onto a support structure. This structure will be anchored to the floor or to the conveyor stringers.
The sampler is notable for deriving samples straight from the conveyor belt, its stainless steel material, its wall-mounted controls and a wire mesh guard to protect the operator during the observation process. It conforms to BS1017, ISO and all international sampling standards.
